I have Psp 7.03, I see that v10 is out. Does anyone know if there are some serious new tools in it or is it just eye candy stuff?

I've seen PSP9 really cheap in the US with rebates, it might have been free even. If you can find it cheap why not.$29.99 after rebate, but I've seen cheaper.

I've seen PaintShop Studios for cheap too. I wonder what the difference is?

Thank for the heads up!
If you work with version 7, I'd say you should give v9 a go. It's the first version that doesn't mess up your EXIF (sad, eh?). I have used PSP since v5, and I think with 9 you'll notice some nice new features.

I've read the What's New? for 10. It seems the important new things are something like a healing brush equivalent to Photoshop, the faster performance (up to 50% according to Corel/Jasc) and the RAW support (Raw Shooter Essentials is bundled).

I've been working with 9 for a year now, and I suggest you get that version, it should become quite cheap now with 10 out.

I have 7 too.
I might upgrade later to 10. I have a tryout of photoshop but it just doesn't feel right though it is a lot faster than both psp 7 and the GIMP. If 10 has a significantly faster processing engine I'll probably upgrade.
