Is there anything better than coming home to see 2 boxes on your doorstep from B&H??? I didn't think so! :)

Now time to go play with my new toys (420EX, Monopod and misc accessories)!

Ha. Well I had to come back to report that the 420EX is probably the best purchase I have made to date. Had I known that having a decent flash would make such a difference I would have put off getting one of my lenses a long time ago!!!

I mean it is simply amazing. In full manual mode (indoors), it seems that it is impossible to screw up the exposure of a picture. The flash adjusts perfectly and every single shot whether high/low aperture or fast/slow shutter speed seems perfectly exposed (at least within a very large range).

I feel ike I have just been re-born! :p

Wow, I've been putting off buying a flash... thanks for the input, I have been very disappointed with the mixed results that I have been getting with my indoor shots so this is very good to hear! Is there a 430ex soon to be released though...

There is a 430ex coming out soon, but there are not that many changes to it that would warrant the increased price that it will carry IMO. Seriously, it's only been a few hours since I started playing with it, but I think that it may be the most valuable piece of equipment in my bag right now (especially if you have tried using the built in flash).

I just love having packages waiting for me, well when there for me. My wife has a bad habbit of buying stuff on ebay. Hell its pretty bad when you know the entire UPS staff by name. Well maybe not that bad, but they don't need a map to find my house.

And by the way... since you got home at 6, how long could the day have been?
