I'm considering getting a macro lens or possibly some close up filters. Still not sure...
About lenses, I'm looking at the Sigma 105mm 2.8 or the 50mm 2.8. They both seem to give a 1:1 ratio so why spend the extra on the 105mm?
As for close up filters, which lens is best for Macro use? I have the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 which already gets me in pretty close and the 70-200 f/4 gets me in there too. The filters for these lenses would be different (250D for the 28-75 vs 500D for the 70-200). Are there advantages to using one or the other?
Are there other ways of doing it? Extention tubes? 1.4x or 2x times extenders? Anything else?
Help me please...

The 105mm will give you greater working distance than the 50mm. This could be an advantage when viewing skitterish subjects.

it also gives you better backround bluring.
