I was wondering here if anyone has gone to graduate school for photography, or if they know people have gone and gotten a master's degree in it. I'm just trying to get an idea for what kind of resume and portfolio is expected at some of the more respected places when applying. I know it's obviously competitive, but if anyone has any stories to relate that would be awesome, also any schools to suggest.

Im aware that RIT, University of New Mexico have great programs, I would prefer to hear about institutions that aren't like a photo school. ie not Brooks in Cali..cuz i can find enough about those on my own.

Also I don't wanna get into a debate on whether grad school in photography is worth it or not. I'm just trying to find out more about it, I only have 3 semesters of my bachelor's left...and that's not in photography. Thanks in advance - Peter

I never went for my mfa, but when I was considering it, my top pick was the program at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

SIUC

Also high on my list was Savannah College of Art & Design

Savannah is the most beautiful city in the south, bar none. It was definitly tied for the artistic capital of the south until New Orleans sank. Take a drive down and have a look.
