Is it safe? I have seen many stunning photographs of lightening on the web. I have even seen the posts that this may damage the sensor of your camera. What is the reality?

I wouldn't worry about it. Unless maybe the lightning was REALLY close, and then it's not my sensor I'd be worried about anyway.

Thank you Robt. Another question: How much time do you spend on internet/DPC in a day?

Depends on whether I'm out shooting or not. If I'm not shooting or cooking I'm working at the computer, designing books or editing photos or working on web sites, and whn the computer is on it's connected to the net, broadband, so... I wander in and out of DPC off and on all day.

I'm a nightowl too, I usually sleep from around 4 AM until 10 AM, and if the weather looks promising I may stay up to go shooting at dawn and crash after...

I'd guess I spend 6 hours a day actively online, on average. I am a founder of a site for game playing (cards, backgammon, like that) with 35,000-plus members, so I spend a lot of time at that also. www.eliters.org if you want to see it.

Thanks again. However, I am not very fond of computer games.

These aren't computer games per se. We play backgammon, dominoes, spades, cribbage, chess, what-have-you on the computer. There are whole sites devoted to these games, we mostly use Yahoo Games. Think of us as a bowling league, keeping stats and organizing tourneys but not owning the building in which we bowl :-)

I don't like "computer games" either, but I enjoy playing cards and backgammon, and this is a good way to do it when you don't have a real-life game readily available.
