i have a 4gb microdrive and i love it ... now granted i dont leave any cards in my pockets to be washed - but so far i havent had any problems with it and just last weekend i filled it!! about 1000 photos ... that are now on my computer and backed up on CDs ... but i dont see any speed difference ... i also have a 1gb CF card and other CF cards in smaller amounts - all i havent had problems with - to each his own I guess ... depends on the situation and ruggedness you would require
