Okay, I'm in. If I understand correctly, we're meeting between 9:45 and 10:00 a.m. at the Hagen Daz in Underground Atlanta. I'll definitely be there.
Rex, I'll pm you for your cell & give you mine as well. Why don't you be the keeper of cell #s (if you don't mind - only because you had brought this up before). If someone has everyone's cell then we won't have to stand around waiting for stragglers if anyone isn't able to make it at the last second.
This should be fun! I'm looking forward to meeting ya'll. |

Hi Jeileen. I think that's a great idea, but the Georgia group is going to meet up in less than 2 days, so I don't think it's practical for this group. |

Fantastic Bebe!! Glad you were able to find a sitter, this will be a great time. And in response to Jeileen's post, maybe one thing we can consider since it is so close, is to maybe bring some canned goods or clothing, some non-perishables to the gtg since it is so close, tshirts would really be out of the question. I can take them to the shelter here in Atlanta where they flew some of the victims into. I think that would be nice gesture. I can just trek the stuff back to my car before we head out so that we don't have to lug it around all day. So if you want to, feel free. :-)

That'll work yeah?
Hagen Daz at Underground Atlanta (see map above) at 9:45am this Saturday. |
Just a reminder of the meeting details for tomorrow. There are two parking garages at Underground Atlanta for $8.00/day and several other lots around the area. We'll start out at the DragonCon Parade at Woodruff park then head out from there, Downtown area, possibly a lunch stop somewhere and whatever else sounds good. Here is the list of confirmed folks:
2- Kevin Riggs
2 - Jenesis
1 - rex
1 - elemess
1 - djpage
1- Bebe
Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions or need cell phone numbers. Can't wait to meet you all!

Here's a taste of what we'll see:
Han & Leia
Scarecrow (x2)
Buddy Christ and Rotzo the Clown
And countless Stormtroopers and Browncoats, Supermen (and Supergirls), Aquaman, Spider-Men, the entire cast of The Mummy, the Incredibles, various and sundry faeries, Gryffindors, Slytherins, Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws, and so on and on.
And that was just Day One. |

What a great time and what a great day, but most of all what a fun group of folks!! Bebe and Elemess, wish we could have spent more time with you guys but it was fun none the less. Larry, Thanks for giving us the scoop on the parade. THAT was a show!! I'll try to post a few shots shortly, still wading my way through the parade shots... WHEW! I'll tell you one thing though, I was never more happy to be in an air conditioned car than I was at the end of this day. :-)
And Rex, I told my lens sucks!!!! :-P

Some of Cindee's shots
EDIT: Notice the Jawa's footwear in the 2nd photo above. Those look like R2D2 slippers with the toes sticking out. Wish I'd had that photo for the shoes challeng, Jen.
Jennifer, great edits to those photos. Larry, I wish we'd had time to go into the convention, too. It looks like it was an awesome place to shoot as well as being fun.

Hi Wayne! Well let us know when you do because with as much fun as we had, I'm sure we'll be doing it again sometime in the not too far future. Would love if you could join us. :-)

Hey guys, Eden just wanted to say thank you for letting her tag along. She Loved all the pictures you posted, she said she now knows she truly has a lot to learn. Also thanks for helping her find her father-in-laws brick. :-)
Here are some of her photos. Eden is a Film girl and just recently started working with digital when she got her Rebel. So she knows very little about digital editing but I'm sure that will change real soon. Once I get my evil photoshop hands on her. :-)

Hey guys!! Looks like you all had a GREAT time. I wish I could have amde it, vut I was so dang busy it was crazy! How was the Swan House or did you guys make it there?
I actually made it down Sunday after church and took some photographs. I entered one into the 'high contrast' challenge...i don't expect it to do so well, but I like to watch my score go up and down. For those who dont like entering many challenges, only those that they think they will place high on...I just think it is fun and what better way to learn, you know?
Well, I'm off to watch the game on TV. Talk to you guys and gals later and so sorry I missed everyone!
Make it a GREAT day!

Hey everyone! I had a great time. Here are my photos, proving
a) I really need to clean my sensor,
b) I should have shot more & gabbed less, and
c) I really need to get better!
Anyway, I had a lot of fun. It was great to meet you & to discover places/events in Atlanta that I hadn't been to before.
Let's do it again sometime!
P.S. (Eden & Cindy - you guys really should join!)
