Well, today I got my Manfrotto 3021 Pro with a 3-way tilt head. Finally! A tripod tall enough to use without extending the center column! Joy, joy!
My Slik is a very nice tripod, but it's shortish and I had to extend the center column quite a bit to get eye-level with it. I was noticing a certain amount of sharpness-robbing vibration when I shot with the 200mm in even a mild breeze, so....
Plus this Manfrotto lets me mount the center column horizontally to shoot straight down, a real plus for macro work.
Dang, I love it. Just did some shooting with it.

i've got the same one with the grip ball action head. it's really nice isn't it. now nothing will stop you and the 20d/10-22 combinstion!!!! |

I've got the exact same setup and couldn't do without it. |
