I would love to see some of DPC members' photos of New Orleans in happier times. I took this while there on 4th of July 2004.

I have a several photos to share from a trip to New Orleans over Halloween last year, but they are on my harddrive at home, so it'll have to wait till I get off work.
I've always wanted to go to New Orleans, and my trip there last year was amazing. I also got the chance to met up with a fellow DPCer, Julia, while I was down there and tag along during a photo shoot. I can say hands down, that it was the best city I have ever been to (no offense to anyone, but way better than NYC). I was actually considering moving to New Orleans. Modern industrialized city meets old world european flare with cajun attitude thrown in! Gotta love it. |

I have a bunch from when I went there in college (pre-digital) and they would have to be...OMG.... "SCANNED IN" I'll see if I can dust off the ole scanner and post a few over the next few days.

I just took these not two weeks ago in the French Quarter.

I saw a reporter walk right by this very street sign giving a horrible report.
I wonder where this guy is right now. Him and his partner were a slick pair of rip-off artists, but they were still nice guys and funny. I hope they're ok.

great photos guys. I tried to go through the other pics I took while I was there, but the CD I archived them to is corrupt :( I can't find a program that can restore files from CD that isn't $30 or $40. Sigh.

I was there in July of 2003 as well. My New Orleans pics have always been my most popular and my favorite. Its unbelieveable to see what it looks like now and then browse through the photos I took on my vacation..
On another note I am able to use my photos as a way to raise money through ebay so something I did normally I can continue to do and donate a portion of sales to the red cross, so maybe my photos will help someone in need.
Anyway.. here's the ones I have up here:

I went to New Orleans last March for the first time. I am so thankful now that I did. Here are a few shots I took while there.
