I am curious to find out how many other DPCers use Gimp for photo editing? It would be nice to turn to a DPCer for help...

I use GIMP, and I love it, but I don't have a lot of experience with it (or any other photo editing programs), so I'm probably not the best one to ask...

I started using gimp about two months ago. I noticed that since I started using Gimp over my Paint Shop Pro 7, I am getting on average better scores. Gimp does so much more than Paint Shop Pro. I am not familiar with Photoshop, but I think a lot of the features that PS has, Gimp has as well (you just have to find it).
The great thing about Gimp is that it does such a good job and it is FREE! And something that works and is FREE is a good deal for me.

I use it sometimes. This is the best guide to it.

My daughters ( 12,10) downloaded The Gimp about 2 days before I started trying my hand at photography(coincidence?). They didnt download the help files so I can only do a few things with. Seems very promising though. |
