Wow - what an image...the aftermath. Now blue skies and debris. I'm guessing it wasn't always on a sandbar. It is no comparison to what we had in Florida last year. I hope all your family and friends stayed safe. |

Oh my... the sky... it's so ironicly beautiful.
Thank you for posting these images. Are your friends and family all safe?

Thanks.
I will post a few more tommorow when I get time to upload them. I want to go back down and bring water or canned food or something and check on friends, but I can't buy gasoline to go anywhere. Phone service in some areas is sketchy and in others non-existent. And Alabama is a far sight better off then Mississippi

I can't believe the news reports of all the looting, robberies, car jackings etc coming out of the US! It's amazing how under extraordinary circumstances the worst people come out to make a bad situation worse! Scary stuff! |

Thoughts with you all, hope you come through it without too much heartbreak. We are watching with disbelief.
Makka these sorts of things do one of two things, bring out the worst in people But they also bring out the Best in people.

That's not happening in Alabama that I know of. Most of the people who were hit the hardest in Alabama were not city folks. The farmers and fishermen along the coast were the ones who lost everything. Most of them will find a way if they have to without waiting on goverment relief and without looting. City people are for the most part less resourseful in a time of crisis.

I have a lot more images to proccess, but I am going back down to Mobile in the morning with a pickup load of water and canned food. Two tank trucks came in today, so we have gas again for a while.
