Last night at 11 it was $2.62 locally. $2.85 now. I went up the road a piece and it was only $2.59.

Only. Like that sentence would have been comprehendable a year ago.

a lot of places have already increased their cost for shipping and the products and or services they sell from the rise of gas prices earlier this year. all companies are feeling the crunch and have to increase the cost of their products to offset their operating expenses.

just wait until the wireless companies and local phone services and cable services go up in cost in a few months. They have a very high fuel bill each month and to keep their profit margin up they will stick it to you, the same as your local market and any product you buy

I am just wondering what an average daily commute to work is for you guys who live there. I know where I live the average is about a 45 minute drive. I mean it suks for you guys as well, as us. I really think we as humanity, not americans or English or chineese or what ever should really be pushing our elected officials to look for a differnt means of fuel.

What is totally reiculous is when you se, in the span of 2 miles, prices go from $3.09 to $3.49 and back to $3.09... all the same company. Me thinks some owners are jumping the price hike gun a bit.....

As a comparison Sweden has a gas price starting at around $5.33 a gallon. On top of this our GDP - per capita is less than 3/4 of the US. Should I sell my car, buy a bike or move to Norway, anyone? ;)

Yeah you guys enjoy your huge engined cars at small gas costs, I've got a smallish engined car in the UK and its 94p a litre so a gallon converted to US is about $6.35 and I go through a hell of a lot doing about 3 hours travelling a day!

Bring on our next Fuel crisis !!! Bring down our prices as the funny thing is that only a couple of month ago I was paying $5.40 a gallon (80p a litre)

Here we go again. I do believe that the UK has an exorbitant tax on their gas. It is two thirds of the price, a tax, not the actual price of the gas from the corporations. Us is the states pay very little tax and so all this money is going to the oil company's not to the government and then back to us as in a better public transit system. How high is your prices if you discount the tax. And if you are paying a high tax on your gas stop bellyaching about your high price, it better be well over $9.00 an equivalent gallon like we're paying.
This gas thing has got me quite upset. :(

When I first drove gas prices were so low we could never have seen the day of $3,00 a gallon. I paid less than a buck for 5 gallons. I think it was an unholy .19 cents a gallon regular. Don't think they even had unleaded.

Gas must have been a lot cheaper where you lived my friend. I got my licence in 1962 and I seem to recall gas prices being in the vicinity of 0.32 a gallon... mind you ... that was for an imperial gallon.

I just filled the tank up here in Pittsburgh. The price was $2.59 and literally as I was pumping they raised the price up to $2.99. Had I have been 1 minute later I would have paid $2.99.

Lived in Boston Ma. Premium was 24 cents a gallon at that time. It all changed in the 70's, the cars, and the price of gas. It's been going down hill ever since. Well maybe we'll drive less now that the prices have gone so high, maybe not. I sold my pickup last year and got a smaller car that gets over 30 miles a gallon. The smartest thing I ever did.

by the way jmlelii, I miss wawa. I stayed in NJ for a few months with my wife.. I lived off their breakfast sandwiches. Bacon egg and cheese on a bagel!!! I'll buy you a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II if you bring me a couple hundred frozen wawa breakfast sandwiches. Might have to sneak them across the border though.
