I'm just wondering does everyone go through phases of what they think looks good, or is it just me?
Sometimes, I really love the look of black and white...
 
Sometimes it's the colors that inspire me...
Sometimes it's this certain look that I just can't exactly name in words but like you see here...

And sometimes it just changes...I mean I can pick up a magazine and see a photo and be like man...I should really go shoot something like that.
Anyway, just wondering if I'm alone here.

| question: on your lonely park bench shot, how did you get that ray of light to be so defined (towards the top)? in fact ive seen it before on many photos and don't know how people make those beams look so nice. |

exactly...
I would fit that one into the 'color' aspect...something about that flower just really makes it pop to me. I'm out of my 'flower' mood, but I still like that photo lol.
As far as the ray of light, that's what it looked like in person, that's just how it was.

Yep same with me. After a while I got an idea: I create a file in my portfolio each time I change of periods. For exemple I got the "Cross-processing" file, the "Saturated colours" file, "The vertical B&W portraits files", etc...
Even professional photographers and artists alike go through phases. We've got a famous painter friend and in his museum he arranged all of his stuff through perdiods. Photographers like to be known for one type of style so generally they hide the rest from the eye of the public until it has become known and famous.
