The only question I have is about shooting in raw. I know eventually I will do it. It seems to me you have more ability to edit exposure. Is this true?

Yes and No, but I believe getting the proper exposure at the time of shooting is more desirable because the exposure setting in RAW programs may work like Shadow/Highlight setting in PS .

So what is the real big need for RAW? I mean I would much perfer to get the right exposure from the get go. I really love those shots that I get and have no need to crop or do much editing. I feel as if I have accomplished something.

To correct white balance problems, and have more control instead of having the camera set it for you. |

Warning for lazy guys - It takes a bit of work to post-process RAW files especially if you don't have it as a plug-in in Adobe PSCS2. Just started to shoot some RAW and have yet looked at them yet from the last couple months. |
