Not exactly my specialty, but here's a crack at it...

Now bear in mind i'm crap at portraits and you're probably sick of these by now, but here's my attempt:


Most of the same steps kirbic took, selectively sharpened the eyes, did a similar transparent gaussian blur layer thing, also blurred the background, dodged the eyes and the hair, and burned a few of the shadows around the face and neck.

Heres Mine.

I edited out the eyebrow peircing and did some work on your eyebrows. Deepened lip color and accentuated highlights in your hair.

I found it difficult to get a good result in colour so here's a quadtone with some cropping. This could be a lot better with a bit more time and care but hope you like some aspects of this attempt.

why can't I see the animation? This bugs me.

Thanks everyone, just goes to show, there is more than one right way. It's whatever looks best to the eye of the beholder.

If you can see the pictures it should be animated. It is just an animated gif. look at the euebrow piercing if it disappears and reappears. then you are seeing it. I had to make it small b/c of file weight.
