i'm having trouble connecting my bro's canon G2 to my windows xp pc. my sd110 connects fine, and the G2 connects fine with my bro's windows 2000 pc. i downloaded driver off of canons site, and comp stil doesnt recognize that a cam is there. i need to clear off some wedding pics asap. anyone help?

have you tried to download the canon zoom browser software?

I understand your frustration as I have tried on 3 seperate occasions to connect my camera to my sister in laws PC with no luck

The problem is.........."Windows"....sorry I'm a Mac Guy...:)

However, perhaps get a card reader that is plug and play. It will help a lot.
As well, not having having to mess with drivers.

Also, reduces the wear and tear on you camera.

I think jab119 was right. you probably need the zoom browser software. I have a S400. never bothered to use zoom browser for downloading photos from it. The Windows Explorer finds the camera and lists it as a portable drive, when S400 is connected. But not my new 350D. I have to use zoom browser to download photos from 350D. XP can find/install the device, but does not list it in Windows Explorer. your case may be similar, I think.
