I like #6 the best. But I think either the camera needed to move leftjust a bit, or you needed to move to the camera's right so that your head and the tree trunk don't merge. (I know it's a clichéd critique ... but there is a perfect spot between the two trees where your head would have been nicely "framed")

Those are all wonderful shots! You did a good job..the only thing I would suggest is use a flash. Gorgeous though!

Little confused about the "use a flash" because I did. I know the black in the bottom of my hair darkens around the face though. I also like dark so I prob darkened them up alot, if you you look at my fav photgraphs you'll understand the styles I like. It was also during the day and very bright, so not really sure what you mean. Just learning, any more advice would be greatly appreciated.

Comments anyone?

MP,

Now there's too much flash in my opinion. Your earlier work had a sensual, introspective feel, based mainly on the soft lighting. In these last two, the flash and (I'm assuming) sunlight from the right really wash out the images. Especially the first one, the light is washing out your shoulder. Though I do like the way the sunlight and shadow pattern the bottom of your shirt.

I think you're going to have difficulty no matter what you do, based on your hair. I like the way the color lightens in the middle, but it's going to be about impossible to photograph well. If you expose for the lighter part of your hair, then the bottom part (and your neck line as well) are going to look like one gigantic shadow (see your 4th and 5th origianl pictures). If you expose for the darker parts, then the entire rest of the picture will be over exposed.

You've got some great poses, and an excellent background... I just think you've got to work on exposure/levels a little bit. Try some dodging on the first one of your new photos, on the shoulder, and try to take a little of the super bright background down a little.

Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth. :)

They look great as thumbnails! I am going now to look closer at them. You are so cute! Self portraits are not that easy, from here they look great. I will leave you some comments.
