Cool shot. How about some detail on the telescope setup/adapter?

The telescope is a SpaceProbe 130mm Reflector. The adaptor attaches to the eyepiece, which then mounts on the camera just like a lens. |

looks like the focus is off a bit. there are several causes for this while using a scope.
1. you have a netownian scope, you need to make shure it is Collimated properly. You NEED to do this each time you set up the telescope.
Newtonian Collimation
2. Check to make sure your Diopter setting on your camera is correct. I cant find a link on the pentax diopter
3. Cool down time of the scope. You need to set the scope up several hours BEFORE you image through it to allow the mirror in the scope to equalize with the out side air temperature.
4. does the scope mount have tracking motors? if not shooting at 900mm focal length can getcha. at 900mm the moon apears to move quickly so you need some what accurate tracking.
5. use the self time or a remote to trip the shutter. if you can lock up the mirrio you shuld do that as well to avoid scope shake.
edit:
6. if you focused on the moon with OUT the blue filter in place then attached the blue filter you will be out of focus. I know it sounds completly silly, but its true, and I was a victim of this as well. when you add filters you need to refocus with the filters in place.
