I think this is soo true. I idealize the way Asians can have such peace in themselves and their surroundings and I always seem to have this underlying stress if I take a break. I wish I had not been raised in the "get things done" mode all the time simply because now I find it hard to take breaks or vacations without guilt. Grrrrr

basically it says north americans are more short-sighted.
i can't agree nor disagree, but it's very interesting nonetheless.

That's nothing, try living in central Europe! Germany is even worse for busy-ness and rush rush rush! I don't really think of Asian culture like you do...I think that it's very much a rush rush rush culture there as well as far as business and everyday life goes. In fact, it is this busyness that contributes to their being able to view the entire scene in a photo...at least that's how I understood it!
Go to central America for easy-goingness...they're easy going to a fault! |
