I have marked many comments I have received as usefull, but going back and looking at my images and comments many comments are no longer marked as usefull/helpfull
Any ideas as to what is going on? Im not doing anything different, other than updates to Firefox over the last few months

This has happened to me also. I started a thread about it last week, trying to find out what the heck is going on, but got just one reply.
I go back to mine regularly to see if there are new comments, and when I checked last week, nearly all of my comments checked were gone.
I also am using FF, but have been for several years, so I don't think that's the problem. |

Are the comments on images currently on the voting process?

They changed it a while ago - the number gets updated once or twice a week on the rollovers (whenever...). Something to do with stopping the site getting bogged down. Technical stuff, anyhow.

| I have noticed this but at the same time also noticed that some of the comments were edited and some of the votes had been changed (based on what they said in the comments). So I think it unchecks them if the vote/comment is updated...perhaps? |

I am talking about the comments that are below my image during and after voting. I mark them has helpfull, but when I go back to read more comments they are not marked any more. This can be 1 minute to 3 weeks later
I am not talking about the number that gets updated in the upper left of my profile. I know that is updated once a week and never really look at that

I've seen this also. I also noticed that it moved the comment to the top like it was new. I saw this in a current challenge. I saw a comment that came in early in the voting, then a day or 2 later, saw the comment at the top like a recent one. I reread it and saw that the commenter had edited it, and the 'comment helpful' box was unchecked again. Could this be what is happening to your comments? Edits or even returns to bump?
