This may be a totally nit-picky kind of thing, but as a free member, I'd like to be able to view the challenge description for the member challenges. I've been on the fence for a while about whether I want to buy a membership, and so I keep a close eye on the member challenges. However, I can't read the description unless I pay - so for challenges like the current one, D&L, I'm kind of lost as to what the challenge is about. Sometimes there's a forum thread discussing the rules, but sometimes not. What would it hurt to let non-paying users read the description of the member challenges?

Sounds fair to me. . . maybe it would entice them to suck it up and pay the $25 so they could enter, right???

Descriptions for D&L is "Most of us know who "D&L" are on DPC, but what else could those initials stand for? Be creative, and title your shot with your D&L definition!"
For the small amount it costs to join this site, come on and join :) We dont bite, you get double the amount of challenges to get in and you get to read what the member challenge descriptions are about :)
OH and you get an online portfolio to show off your beautiful photos in :)

I think this is a good idea. The page shown could have a message like 'You are not eligible to enter this challenge' in the space you normally submit you image.

AND besides you can already see what the challenges are about.
In the dark blue strip at the top of the page, click on the word Challenges... it will allow you to see what the challenges are about

Actually you can click on any of the words in the dark blue strip at the top of the page
(I'm NOT talking about the menu that drops down i'm talking about the actual word)
