Took this photograph a little after 12:AM tonight. No clouds in the sky but very hazy. The picture ended up with some wild haze formation and colors. The brightness to the top left is in the direction of the moon that was far away toward the horizon (east). The photograph was taken camera facing vertically. The only processing was levels. I know it's not a good star shot but was wondering about the haze clouds, what would cause them to look like that and have varying colors. (30sec. ss)

One bump...any advice on photographing stars without a telescope. Have a lot of street lights around here.

Go out somewhere away from city lights. Somewhere in the mountains would probably not have as much haze too.

That could even be solar dust or the milky way. Pretty crazy cool though!
