Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC for Canon

I went for a walk to a dog park a block away from my home in the middle of the city of Edmonton. Most of my photos are from this little 1 square block park. Anyways, I found this mushroom a few feet off the side of a main trail alone amongst the tall grass, thought it was an orange tennis ball at first but a closer look revealed this. I took the best shot I could think of, what do you think of the picture?

all im getting is a huge page with symbols and letters.

It looks very dark, there's almost no detail anywhere except for the top of the mushroom. I kinda like the selective desat applied as the top has a nice bright color. That makes it stand out a lot like a rather bold statement.

Sorry, I don't know what the problem is. It works fine for me. Maybe I should give up until I can get my dpchallenge membership and make use of the portfolio feature =]

look. Image Shackhosts your pictures for free and even makes thumbs for it perfect for showing in forums. if you upload a pic there copy and paste the text called Thumbnail for forums (1) into here and it works.

Yea, I'm getting the symbols and letters as well. I've seen this happening before. I'm using Firefox.

Here's the long explanation:

This problem is because the tekcities web server is not configured correctly. It's not sending out the correct http code which identifies the file as type=image. Firefox then says 'well, it must be text, so I'll display it as text'.

Internet Explorer doesn't have this problem, because IE doesn't adhere to internet standards, tbh.

Try image shack, or photobucket.com - which specialise in hosting images.

Edit: Just noticed this on the tekcities homepage;
"Please Note: TekCities is currently NOT compatible with FireFox, the signup will not process in FireFox. We are still working on compatibility issues at the moment. For the time being, we recommend viewing this site with Internet Explorer."

The mushroom is cool, the orange is great bouncing out from such a dark photo, but the rest of the photo needs to be a tiny bit brighter. Could work well as it is in print. Nice stuff.
