i have a really serious question . i'm sorry because this is compleeatly off topic from photography, but i haven't found many other places to turn. I was wondering if anyone knew anything at all about the BasGolan Heights e in Isriel. the reason i am asking, is because my uncle was given 24 hours notice, and was sent over seas today. to say the least, my famly and i are extreamly worried and upset about the lack of information we recived. i've been researching for several hours, but i would really appriciate anything anyone can offer
you can post it, or e-mail me at potts1@sympatico.ca
like i said, we are all worried, and anything will help~!
greatly appriciated~! thank you so much~!
Ben

Ben, I'm not at all clear on what question you're asking. How can someone here be of help? What exactly do you need? |

Here's a website that may be of help. At least for background, historical info anyway.

I haven't heard about any recent "activity" in that region. It is about as far as you can get from Gaza and still be in Israel.
It's in the northeast corner bordering on Syria, from which it was captured in the 1967(?) war. Prior to that, it was used as a platform from which to shell Israeli villages; I believe much of it remains unusable due to the presence of land mines. |

hey Ben,
that's terrible that they would just send your uncle away like that.
I hope he'll be okay.
