www.woodwarddreamcruise.com

40,000 vehicles, 1.7 million people, 16 miles of cruisin.

Attached are a few pics from this morning. Yes it rained. Lots of GTO's and Mustangs. '55, '56' and '57 chevy's including Nomads. Ferrari's, Viper's, Corvettes and an Alfa Romeo race car. Plenty of Dragsters, some with parachutes and wheelie bars. '48 Mercs, '32 Fords and a host of other customs. Even a see thru VW Beetle, a 4wd mule pulling wheelies and of course Papa Bear, who actually was throwing out teddy bears to lots and lots of kids. Anyway, 1st for me and I'm planning on next year.

Looks like an awesome event... Makes me wish I had the Dodge Challenger I drove in HS and College back

You were there too? Can't believe I didn't run into you with the 1.5+ million other people that were checking out the classics!

I just love the simplistic dashboards and huge pre-power-steering steering wheels in these cars...

Great post and a wonderful collage.

It is pretty amazing that we didn't bump into each other.....;-]

Seriously, I didn't see that many "formal" fotogs. Didn't see anyone else with a tripod or even a mono. Saw a few cameras but.....did see a GM fotog working the crowd handing out pic passes for use of photos on a web site.

Your use of the 16-35 far exceeded my use. I was trying (for a couple of hours) to get 4 classics lined up accross at the light (had to use a 24-85 as the 17-35 didn't quite get me there from accross the intersection). It seemed like every time there would be 2 or 3 great cars, some contemporary sedan or SUV would square at the line and not give me the pic I was waiting for. The couple of 4 accross in my post were the best choices I had. Then I had to "encourage" a few gawkers who stopped dead in my sight line to adjust their position. Probably if I'd stayed later, I might have had better luck.

Again, wonderful collage.
