i have been searching for a remote for my dimage Z1 and cant seem to find one. I was told by a company that one isnt made for it. does anyone know how one might be made at home? I have never seen how one is made so i have no idea how to even being making a homemade one. Im wanting to do some full body artistic nudes and without a remte i dont see how this is possiable without having someone else do them and Im wanting to do this privately. not even hubby is allowed to be in the room because i want to completly focus on my photography and not about how i might look to anyone.
any suggestions on how this might be accomplished?

How about a self timer. Does your camera have it?

if you put something that is easierly moved - like a broom or something into the position that you are going to be standing and focus on the brrom so stert the timer then kick it out the way when you get there... its worked for me in the past :)
And i'm the queen of self portraits haha. |

another trick is to put the camera on manual focus, take the camera where you will be standing and focus on the tripod. works for me! :0) |

See the image at the link below. A friend of mine made a cable-release for his Coolpix 995 out of a few bucks worth of hardware and a traditional SLR cable release. It's a bit difficult to see in the pic of his setup but all you need to know is there, if you want to make your own. It works great!
