Hello, I sent a message but I guess it would just be answered faster on here.

I've got an entry in the rain challenge and with it's score it may require validation. I will be visiting relatives for the week starting tomorrow morning so I won't be around a computer to submit proof. Is there any way I can submit my original now? I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't find it with the search feature gone...

Thanks

Request validation on your shot. It will ask for the original. Send it in with the request. Your golden!

Hmmm... Now it says request admin note instead of request validation. It's on the last page of the challenge entries. Click on your shot and look under it...

I hope he did...otherwise, his wooden entry should be disqualified...which brings a point...he was DQ'd before and after that for not having the right date...so did he have the right date for the wooden challenge?

Yes, it was taken with my other camera smartypants
And it wasn't neccisarily the camera date, but the uploading program that changed it.

Didn't you get two DQs recently? What does that mean? No entries within "xx" amount of time? I'm still a bit confused by this.

He must not have been penalized since both DQ's were for the same reason.

but it's still a DQ regardless right?

I'd like to think SC had a little wiggle-room to accomodate situations such as this one with a single, blanket DQ. The main purpose of the "sanctions" is to penalize people who wilfully submit illegal images, trying to gain an advantage, I think, I may be wrong.

As noted in the suspension rule, The above penalties will be assessed only after review by the Admins and Site Council. In exceptional circumstances, the Site Council may elect not to apply a penalty.[/i]

In past cases, when there are two [b]concurrent
entries disqualified for date violations, we have treated them as a single incident for purposes of calculating the number of DQ's under the suspension rule.

Deapee: To answer your question, please note that Joey's entry to Wooden was shot on 21 July with his Olympus. His Room and Affluence entry were shot on 29 July and 2 August, both with his Minolta, so there's no reason to believe the problem would have affected both cameras.
