Remember also that this is a highly culturally diversive site.. there are many members here that have no reservations whatsoever about photographing older children in the nude, as it isn't looked at as deviant or sexual or anything of the sort where they were brought up. Alas, for the American puritanical paranoidal culture.

All entries must comply with the Challenge Rules and the site's Terms of Service, including (by reference) the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Unfortunately, that doesn't really clear anything up does it? heh.. the U.S. laws regarding nudity in photographs are notoriously unclear and subject to the personal interpretation of law enforcement.

I'm pretty sure that the laws as written, however, allow non-lascivious, non-exhibitional nudity, of a model of any age, as long as parental permission and release have been given.

For me nudity is as natural as the beauty in the human body. We are all born nude, aren't we?
Seeing a nude child is a symbol of innocence in almost every culture I'm aware of...
However in some countries mothers have been prosecuted and separated from their children because they took pictures of them in the nude and took them to a photolab for printing...
It's a twisted and sick world nowadays...

Knowing myself the way I do, I'll probably do some shooting this week and mix up the 2 challenges and end up with a really provocative shot of a hot sexy cow...

This is probably a dumb question, but are draped figures or ingerie-clad figures considered nudes, or does it have to be totally unclothed?

im very curious over this too.... as i personally do not like totally nude photos.. will we be rated low for some clothes????

if so, then i'll rate the ones totally nude low... kekekekekke....

go for a compromise - shoot tattoos and pretend its clothes. :-)

Check out the results of the past Nude challenges, and see the top 20 results on each of them....

Well, according to the dictionary:
Nude:
Having no clothing; naked.
Permitting or featuring full exposure of the body

I think partial draping adds to the shot if applicable. But if your are fully covered, then you aren't nude. Right??? What about a sheer curtain that you can see through, but leaves a tad to the imagination? I actually shot some and they were quite "artsy" yet still very nude.

Plus you can always shoot a shoulder or a neck that's uncovered, if other things make you feel uncomfortable.

As obvious by the winners in the NudeII challenge, people are looking for creativity. I don't think full frontal nudity is required to ribbon. Although Im sure good looking models where the breasts are in good focus get higher votes from alot of male voters. We women are more hard to please though! I imagine alot of photos will get low scores because they are not completely nude and provocative.

I vote based on 'some nudity', but mostly the creativity of the shot and how it makes me 'feel'.

I agree, Kelly. It's all about the artistic aspect of it. I'm curious to see what we get, and in another way, I'm dreading some of the comments. LOL

OK, I've been naked for 3 days now and can't seem to get a shot! Just kidding, have been working on the challenge, but have yet to shoot the ribbon winner that I want. At this rate, its going to be a LONG week!!

Ask for some local DPC volunteers to assist - they always pitch in at weddings, I'm pretty sure they would sacrifice for this project. :)
