I had a photoshoot today and got to the location outside slightly cloudy skies. Well my Cameras trigger budtons ended up switching on me in manuel mode the shudder would control the aperature and the aperature would control the shudder. Fine I can deal. Well I started playing with it and my shudder wouldn't go past 500th of a second, which I needed. So in order to compensate I moved the aperature over and my meter said it was exposed correctly. Exposed picture and it was way way underexposed. anyway. I was woundering if this was something that happens alot. and if there is a fix (aside from a hammer cannon lovers :))
Can I get some help please I really don't want to buy another camera. |

I have a D70. Have not had that problem however, I know that when the flash is open you cannot go faster that 1/500. Maybe something is fouled up there?
How old is the cam?

I can't be of too much in-depth help since I don't own a D70, but the first thing I would try is to go into the menu, find the "reset factory defaults" menu choice, and activate it. It's possible that the configuration somehow got hosed up. If that fails, I'd be calling Nikon.
