I'm a huge fan of Yousuf Karsh and his portrait work (his client list proves that I am not alone). Has DCP ever done a Karsh themed challenge seeking photos attempting to recreate his style?
Most of the challenges I see are highly creative in subject, setting, and tuning, but I wonder whether a Karsh look-a-like challenge would be valuable just as a purely technical exercise. Obviously there is still freedom in subject and setting but the challenge lies mostly in recreating the atmosphere of his photos. Someone would have to be at the top of their game to get close to his style.

For those of us unfamiliar with his work, do you have a link?

Wikipedia article on Karsh's work

Small jpegs don't do him justice though, hit a library for a coffee table book of his photographs.
He photographed nearly every major celebrity and politician in the 1900's.
