This has been bothering me for a while. On this website, certain photos' thumbnails never show up, no matter how many times I refresh. It is always the same photos too. For example, in my profile my last two b&w challenge entries (under "highest rated photos") never show up, while the rest alwasy do.

Does anyone else have this problem, and is there anything I can do to fix it?

Let me guess, you are running Norton Anitvirus

Yes, but it still does it when it's not running. I've also never had Norton interfere selectively with thumbnails on the same page- it's usually all or none.

Sorry, I am trying to connect to my computer at home, where I have Norton installed, but our connection is very slow today. It is something to do with ad blocking, somehow it can be switched off.

Here we go,

Open Norton Personal Firewall >
go to Norton AntiSpam >
Status & Settings >
Add Blocking > Turn off

You're right! All is well now! Strange, though- disabling doesn't actually disable ad blocking, and ad blocking aparently has a strong opinion towards some photos and not others.

Thanks John, and congrats on your ribbon.

IIRC, the images it picks on are those with size ratios similar to ad banners.
