I found these in my yard tonight. Thought I'd share them with you.
It looks like I have a pair of hummingbirds. I hope they stay. |

Nice!
Do you have feeders out?
My guess would be either adult female or young hummers that hatched this summer. The adult males generally have already started to migrate back home by now. The females stay behind to continue raising their young.
We have several young hummers showing up all at once lately and they are very friendly and playful. As the weather gets cooler more and more will show up :) And the Hummer races will begin.
We tied large red ribbons around the yard and it really helps bring them in. We have three feeders hanging in the yard right now. We had more last year but with the new water garden and etc we have our hands full.
Good luck with the Hummers :)

We don't have feeders out. They seem to be feeding on the flowers from the citrus trees. I've seen some nests in the trees so I think they might have nested here this year. |

My husband noticed them the other day. So I thought I'd watch for them tonight. They were fun to watch. Jumping from tree to tree. I was suprised when they landed on the branch. Sat there long enough for me to snap a few photos. I'll have to try again tomorrow and see if I can do better. |
