This LINK is to my eBay auction for my 24-70. You'll see that I restricted shipping to the US and Canada, but for DPC'ers I'll ship worldwide at actual shipping cost. It's big and heavy, no secret about that. Hope someone here can use it. |

If you care to drop off about $700 from your "buy it now" price I'd be MORE than happy to take it off your hands!! :-D
(Of course, I'm just kidding) ;-) Why are you getting rid out Ray, just out of curiousity?

Thanks folks for the interest. Jen, back in November '04 when I bought the 20D, 24-70L, 300L and other incidentals, the bill came to about $4000.... I worked some overtime and paid cash for it. My wife Brenda (bless her heart) thought, huh, $4k, hmm? I've been wanting some nice leather livingroom furniture.... and we bought some furniture for one year same as cash. Almost a year later we still owe $1400 +/-, and the overtime at work has dried up :o( so you do what you gotta do eh? I've never been a good money manager, but Brenda's happy and that makes things nice at home :o) Besides while on vacation in Texas I used the 18-55 kit lens for the first time, and at my skill level it's enough for the time being. Hopefully in the next year or two I'll start building a collection of decent glass (eyeing the 10-22, 17-40, 85/f1.2 etc etc, heh heh). |

Yes, keeping the lady of the house happy is always a good thing. ;-P I'm sorry you had to sell it but I'm glad someone took it off your hands so quickly!
BTW, how was the trip? Wasn't it bootcamp graduation or something like that?? I have the worst memory. ;-)

Your memory is right on the money, at least it is this time :o)
My oldest son (Daniel, 18) completed Air Force bootcamp at Lackland AFB in San Antonio and we went down to attend that. Hated to miss NotaCon (actually I made it to the Friday night dinner but missed all the shooting) but the vacation was a lot of fun. So far I haven't had time to do much photo processing since returning home, but here are three ho-hum shots from the trip:
BTW, jen, was the DC metro easier than I warned you it might be? |

Glad to hear you had a good trip. I really like that second shot. nice colors. And the metro was Easy Cheesy!! :-) Pretty similar to the MARTA. Very convenient indeed. Sorry I'm missed the dinner. :-(

Here's something that showed up in my email last week. It's supposed to be the "International Symbol of Marriage" and seemed somehow appropriate considering I just sold my lens in order to pay for my wife's furniture :o)
Glad you had no trouble with Metro, Jenesis. For some reason we had the hardest time when we rode it, although MARTA in Atlanta used to be a snap. I must've been living out in the sticks toooo long :) |
