I was hoping for some comments on these photos. I am trying to obtain an "enchanted forest" type of look. I want it to feel like you are deep in the forest and stumbled upon this hidden stream.
What do you think? Any suggestions?

| I love the feel, but it appears like the water and rocks are too dark (it could also just be that my monitor is dark too). |

The second is more succesful than the first, largely because the green leaves are less wildly out of balance with the rest. If you want your "enchanted forest" feel, try keeping the leaves brightish but toning down the saturation. The foreground on the second is more succesfully balanced as well.

... what Robert said.
and the leading S curve in the second draws the viewer into the image much better than in the first.
