This is a 100% crop from my 16-35. What's with the focus? I've been shooting rodeos and have noticed that the focus on this lens (and a little bit on the 80-200) were a little 'ghosty' yesterday. Could this be a result of a dirty sensor or lens? What are your thoughts?

I'm going out again today and have dusted and cleaned my lenses...we'll see what happens. Your diagnosis is greatly appreciated!

Without knowing the other parameters of the shot, it's hard to say. What was your f-stop? What focusing mode were you using at the time? What was the shutter and ISO, etc.

Very unlikely to be the result of a dirty sensor.
