how does it work? i marked the little check box which asked if i wanted someone form the critique club to evaluate my last contest entry. but sometimes no one does? not sure how it works?

There's just an extremely high number of photos awaiting critique. I believe after so much time, they just get bumped off the list, unfortunately.
I believe the site admin are working on a feature that will allow them to go by quicker -- that is allowing the CC members to select a shot to critique -- instead of the way it is now, and one just randomly popping up -- that way if CC Member A likes landscapes, he won't have to be forced to comment on your portrait (and at the same time, you won't have to listen to him/her talk about something they aren't really into) -- when CC Member B LOVES portraits, but hates landscapes...heh...hang in there, or post it up in a forum, I'm sure someone can look deeper into things.
