I borrowed a friends 20D to shoot the live music challenge
and had a quick walk around in Sydney taking candids to try it out... I only had 30mins at lunch time before I had to go back to work
fountain... the very first shot I have taken using a DSLR
Happy couple... someone was taking there photo from in front of them and they both turned and saw me at the same time and smiled "click"
Meet me for lunch
all were taken at f1.4 (should have closed it down for the Happy couple one as the depth of field is to small)
This is an amazing camera and lens.... must sell one of the kids to finance one
comments are welcome

Nice photos there Keith, particularly the fountain one. After having a tiny bit of a play with Kelly's at the gtg, it seems awesome to me too. May have to have a kid to sell for one. Just kidding. Nice work mate. |

Looks like you had loads of fun! Can't wait to see what you came up with for the challenge.
Nice work!! I really like the perspective of 'meet me for lunch'

My favourite is the 'happy couple' candid. Left a comment. Also like the 'meet me' because of the simple but clever composition. Left comment there, too. You gotta love that camera & lens! Sell the kid....descendants come and go, but a camera like that is eternal!

Wow, did not look like it was your first time using a DSLR!!!! That was a bad move that you made trying the 20D, now you are hooked!!!! You'll really have to sell one of the kids! LOL |

In all truth the "Meet me for lunch" shot was pure luck
I was walking up the stairs behind this girl and she had for the want of a better word "nice bum"
I was carrying the camera at my side and just pointed it from the hip and shot for the fun of it
it wasn't till I uploaded it I saw the man in the background
this is an out of camera shot no cropping with a little sharpening/contrast only
