I havent used Nero pro, but I have used the older versions of Nero. It works pretty good. But these days I just use the built in CD burning in XP. it works well also. Just pop in a CDR and it gives me a few options, I select open a writable folder, I select the files I want drag them to the writable folder and just keep clicking next until it writes the data to CD.

Nero is all I ever use. It does everything. I have no comlaints at all about it. Mostly I burn data CDs and DVDs, music CDs, and actual DVD movies. Occasionally I have used it to duplicate discs. I suppose if someone wasn't too computer savvy, Nero could be less useful, but it does have a simple, optional Wizard to guide new users. For power users, though, you have a lot of control over the disc. I think the pro version comes with some backup software for keeping your important files on backup discs, which I've used only a couple times. One thing it doesn't have that I have seen in Win-On-CD (I believe Adaptec owns them now) is the ability to spread large data over more than one disc. Oh, I suppose better support for various other disc image types would be good; perhaps even image extraction tools, too. At this point Nero supports ISO and NRG (Nero's built-in type).
