I would like to set up a website to post and display some of my photos. I have decided to go the route of my own domain name and just use a general web hosting company rather than pbase or smugmug, etc.
That means that I will have to design and upload all of my pages. What I am looking for is some relatively simple software that allows me to do this. I am not and do not want to become a computer techie or website developer. I'm not terribly concerned about fancy graphics, just a way that I can simply post, organize and upload photos - perhaps with some narrative attached.
Any ideas or advice?

I use pixelpost - //www.pixelpost.org/
My site is Fixed in Time - //www.fixedintime.net/
It is free and works for me. There are other choices. |

if you want simple then try JAlbum. it has many different styles and is real easy to use. and when you update a gallery it will ONLY update what has changed making the changes go real fast. Best of all its FREE
JAlbum
here are my web sites built with JAlbum, when you have multiple directories and sub directories I feel JAlbum is the best.

also I use Voyager FTP to uplead my files to my server. This is the only FTP program I found that will syncronize your files. Basically it will only uplad what is new in a directory. But you have to buy this program.
