Here are a few photos with slight exposure variations of the same subject. Interested in which one you like the best. Also I'd like to know what you think of the other photo, good or bad. Thanks!

That last one is very pretty. I'm not fond of the others - the branches don't add foreground, they obscure. I'd have gone just a touch higher...

Well the backround is actually water, not sky. So I couldnt go any higher.

OH that's a reflection!? That's interesting - but why couldn't you raise the camera up a foot? The reflection moved?

I think he means that if you raise the camera 'up', it would be just taking a picture of a different portion of the lake. To get the sun on its own, he would've had to hang his camera out over the water (which I know I wouldn't be so keen on doing).

The texture of the water is certainly beautiful - this is a good idea :)

edit: Oops.. just read the next post - I didn't catch that you meant the last-last one either (for some reason).

Wait...you meant the last photo, the one of the lake. No that the actual sky...I thought you meant the first ones. In those, that is the sky reflected on the water. As for the photo I think you meant. I have some without the reeds in the foreground also.

Thanks for looking. I wasn't sure about the reeds in the water either. I have one that the reeds arent centered but to the right of the foreground. Maybe I will give that one a try.

I like this one:

...even though it reminds me of the image I see on TV that is accompanied by poetry at 3am just before the network goes off the air. :)

Yeah, I like the last one the best. Left you a comment on the landscape photo.
