i get error 99 when i try to use the sigma 105 zoom lens on my canon 10D...
any sudjestions??? :( |

clean the contacts with an eraser and try again. Could be other things too.

Error 99 usually signifies lens/body incompatibility. Error 01 I think , usually means poor/no contact with lens/body-meaning clean the contact points. I take it that it's an older Sigma you just bought? Then it needs to be rechipped. Call Sigma to confirm and send it in to be rechipped with the model of camera (10D) you are using.

Don't know if you tried this but, try taking out the battery for a few minutes and try it again. I had the same issue with the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 Di lens. Usually after taking out the battery it resolved the issue. |
