tom - i noticed in another thread that you're being asked to shoot for the museum.. didn't want to reply there and derail the thread, but congratulations :)

did they simply ask you after seeing you there the other day, or did you inquire with them?

Wow, I've been SO out of it latey. I've totally neglected DPC and photos in general. But tomorrow night I'm going up to the Antelope Valley to, hopefully, get some photos of the Perseids! If nothing else, I'll just have a good time watching them. :)

And I've been terribly lazy with processing my photos. Heck, I haven't posted any from the LA Zoo trip! One day I'll get around to it. :)

Good for you Arie! It's 1am right now Eastern Time (10 pm your time) on 8/14 and I am drunk too LOL only I am overlooking a moonlit lake in the upper Michigan area....

Lucky someone around here has an unsecured wireless router set up that I can tap into. Damn what a gorgeous view of the lake here from my front porch! I'll be enjoying this all week!

Well, I finished shooting Southwestern Museum. It's the oldest museum in LA, built in 1914, it had native american artifacts but may be closing due to low attendance. It's near Mt. Wilson just off the 43rd st exit off the 110fwy. I'm not going to post it since I didn't find the museum too inspiring, felt like a pro though, i.e. shooting things that didn't interest me b/c I had to. I didn't like it at all, more like working...
Anyway, on 21st Sunday, the LAdSLR club is meeting at Little Tokyo for a club meeting and a meal, photo op at the neisei week and then hang out and go shoot LA/downtown at night. Please consider joining in on the fun.

Yep... here on a 10 day vacation of boating and waterskiing! Weather and water have been perfect. Taking lots of photos, and will share some when I return, but internet access is spotty as I have to hunt down a wireless connection. Was finally able tonight to see how badly I did in Illusions LOL.
