Hey, I'm new to both Oregon and DPC. I'd love to tag along if I'm welcome. I'm making the large assumption that the meeting place isn't too far from Portland...

Well, Silver Falls is around Salem, I think (lol, I've been there but can never remember exactly where it is) and you'd be more than welcome to join us!
If everything goes as it was planned last time, we'll be meeting at the Falls at around noon, have a picnic lunch kinda thing and then head out to shoot the Falls (there are 10 of them there, but I don't know if people will be feeling up to that long of a hike).

Hey Ryan, I see that US-30 goes through Twin Falls, so that means you're just down the street from me. My house is only 1 mile from US-30. :)

Actually, from the corner of Addison Ave and Blue Lakes Blvd in Twin Falls it's only 626.2 miles to Silver Falls State Park in Oregon (if you go via I-84). And heck, every photography business should have lots of waterfall photos. You could write it off as a business expense. :)

Looks like we're going to have a nice crowd! And at least if it rains, it won't be the 100 degree temps we've had up here lately! *groan* :)
So, how shall we handle this--meet at the Falls at noon, yeah? And we'll also need to figure out some sort of food thing (does a picnic sorta thing work?)

We drove out to the coast Saturday, with the air conditioning on all the way. I almost froze my toes off. It was great! :)

A true artist doesn't need niceties such as food, drink, or sleep. All s/he needs is the work. Chicken and potato salad for me please.

Not fair! The air conditioning in our van isn't working so we have to just burn up if we want to go anywhere. :(

Ah, yes I had forgotten that. Unfortunately, I think that some of the teenage boys coming might protest if you told them there was no food. :P

Yes, but thousands of dollars of photo equipment in the rain would not be fun! :P Until my sister gets an underwater camera I can steal, that is...

If its not to late, could some one email me with the times and place we are going to meet and anything I might be able to bring. (Crown Royal)

Hey, that's awesome! We're meeting at the Falls at noon, we'll be in the farthest parking lot, you go all the way in and turn left at the very last parking lot--it's the biggest lot. We'll have a sign on our white 15 passenger van, as well. So hopefully you won't miss us! If you do, just look for the crazy looking ppl with tripods, hehe. :)
Can't wait to see yall!

Better get to bed early boys and girls. Long hike tomorrow, and a long drive for some of us too. I'm looking forward to seeing you all there.

Zoomdak, you need to call me...
