Hi all,
I finally got around to uploading more shots from my visit to the abandoned Whitby Psych Hospital site in March.
I'm not completely satisfied with my B+W skills yet so if you have any critiques, comments or suggestions for improvement I'd appreciate it!

Well executed set of photos, I really like the ones with the figure in, gives them a surreal and slightly disturbing feel!
The place looks suitably spooky...why do these hospitals look so eerie??
Great work, Steve |

Looks like the day room where "One Flew..." was filmed. Can almost seem MacMurphy and Nurse Ratchett. |

to digitalpins: thank you!
to faidoi: no, I'm not in any of these shots, I was fortunate to have a model this time :) I'm using my Nikkor 28-70 f/3.5-4.5D (which still hasn't been added to the system, must send a note again)
to formerlee: thank you! yes, I love the spooky feel of these abandoned buildings.

I guess it would be scary to be there yourself. |

Actually there was a movie filmed there. The hospital scenes for Michael Douglas' Don't Say a Word were shot at the site. |

I personally like the blue room shot most. But they are all very good. Very eerie feeling. I would not want to be there after dark!

mos def. there's a history of murder there which makes you think twice about going alone.
