Thanks Rex it just makes me wonder if people are looking at the images and figuring them out or just giving them a quick glance.

Thanks Rex and digitalknight for leaving such helpful comments. Its hard to understand viewers and without knowing what's what I find it VERY hard to improve with such few comments.

Sorry - I did not see the train. Maybe my monitor is too dark. I even remeber looking for it. Still ended up giving it a six because I liked the composition and figured the train may be the wall. |

A lot of peeple don't take the time to comment or comment truthfully (including myself) for the fear of getting spanked by the photogrpaher. I think we need some sort of system that you can click if you want a critique or not. I myself like to be more truthful in my commmenting and have always found a good way to put bad stuff but people getting mad beacause of a certain comment happens a lot here and elsewhere. People need to take it as an unbiased opinion. |

It takes a bit to see the train. A shorter shutter speed would probably have helped in that regard and would have toned down the bright lights in the upper left.

Thanks to all those who have commented on this photo.
I find the only way to learn is to have it picked aprart so the next time I shoot I should be able to correct it. This shot was actually a suprise. I didn't hear the train coming and was shooting a fairly complex road for that challenge when p3wiz and myself just happened to notice it should the exposure was set for a different shot. Any and all other comments are apreciated and welcome. Thanks again.

You'd have picked up a whole point in the ratings, I bet, if the length of exposure were a fraction of what you used, so you could (barely) distinguish individual cars in the train. It's in many ways a very nice shot, the arc of the train is compelling, but it's too MUCH of a blur as it is now.

"All in all, we're just another brick in the... uh, train" ;-) Missed the entry during voting, but would never have seen it if you didn't insist it was there. Much good advice and feedback from the others - Live and learn. :) |

I'm not insisting it was there, it actually is there. lol ok ok I got it. I won't quit my day job. Maybe it would have been a more interesting illusion shot if shot properly.
