I see these flowers everywhere here in Colorado, but can't for the life of me find a site that tells me what it is. Anyone care to help ID?

Thanks

Thanks Ben, Been there - done that.

I've googled, googled images,
I use these sites frequently:
Colorado Wildflowers
Earthly Pursuits
Denver Plants
Denver.org
Colorado.gov
Coloraldo.com
among others!

Just can't find it anywhere. And these flowers are found EVERYWHERE that I've ever been here in Colorado. So, you'd think they it would be easy to find them on some site.

Looks more like a dandilion or much larger.
Colorado is arid!

Yeah, its not the dandelion.

I meant that the leaves look similar to the dandelion with jagged edges.

Another clue is the pod left over after the flower dies off. It looks like the underside of a bongo drum with 5 pointy, leftover leaves coming out of the top perpendicular to the pod.

You ARE the man! Thanks!!!

Mentzelia decapetala

Some call it the EveningStar, some call it Prairie Stickleaf, and some call it BlazingStar.

Anyway, you gave me a good starting point in my search. I can't believe it wasn't easier to find.
