I took my new AF-S VR Nikkor 70-200mm 1:2.8 G out for a spin today. Here are a few shots from our local arts festival. Note the first shot shows the time - not a good time of day for photography but it was what it was.

Some great candids there. That lens rocks, doesn't it?

Yes it does! But I'm still learning in what situations it is best so I know when to load it up.

(Sorry for the dalayed response but I was called away last night)

edit: BTW - now that you have your Tamron 28-75 do your ever use your Nikon 18-70? I have the Nikon 12-24 and was thinking of chenging out my Nikon 18-70 for the Tamron but just do not know if it is worth it.

About the only time I use the 18-70 is if I need to get real wide, since I don't have any other wide angle lens, besides my 16mm fisheye.
