Here are a couple of photos I took today with the Hoya R72 IR filter. I would appreciate any comments on how to improve them and make them look better. IR is still really new for me.

Thanks in advance!

Here are 3 from this morning...hope this works. The full size images are at MODBLOG. You could try using this workflow in Photoshop CS...just follow the steps and create an action for it to use later on.

Thanks for the insight Billy. I'll see what I can do with your workflow even though I have a different camera. I'm sure I'll be able to adapt it.

The workflow is not mine..I only used some of the steps in the link...made a few adjustments for myself...more color, less color, a little sharpening, etc. You have to adjust for nearly every photo..but the general premise is the same. Hope to see your photos when finished!

Any idea of how my histogram should look in-camera when shooting? I kind of feel that sometimes my images are underexposed, but it is hard to tell because there is not a lot of variation in color of course.

Also, with that workflow link, his images start out with a greenish tint. I assume that is because of the night shot mode. Do yours come out with a greenish tint also? Mine are always red on the D70s.

By the way Billy, those are some great IR shots you have on here. I really like how the colrs are a bit softer than most color IR shots I have seen.

My shots on the 20D are red tinted and take from 15-30 seconds or more, the Sony looks more green because of nightshot mode and only takes around 1/60 sec. I like the Sony much, much more, because it is more point and shoot IR.

So how many stops difference do you have between the IR shots and the others? Would you mind showing me an IR shot straight from the camera to compare to?
