I am buying a new sail boat and my Venture 23 is up for sale. It will be placed in the market this coming week. The location is New Jersey. It comes with figurehead named Molly Rose. The boat's name is "daytripper" All custom wood work inside, with sliding stove, pop up top and canvass hood cover for overnighters. It is a cutter rigg. Special price for DPC fans.

With the pop up top you can. It sleeps four. (they say six, but too tight. The canvass cover gors over the pop up and to the back with plenty of room. |

That's a damn funky looking Venture 23, sir! Don't recall seeing one with a figurehead and scroll boards before LOL. It's a decent little boat. In an earlier life I was a sailmaker, for North Sails, and I spent the first half of my life on the water constantly.
Good luck finding a home for her!

Oh, yeah... As a youth I did yacht rigging and maintenance for Lowell North; we belonged to the same yacht club. My first real job was with North Sails. I was doing spinnaker R&D when I left sailmaking to become a photographer.
I figure, may as well milk the trip for all it's worth, only going around once as far as I know.
Ever do any cruising in the San Juan Islands and the Inside Passage, Puget Sound and environs?

We had one trip inderway to San juan Islands but it because of crew problems it was cancelled. You know the routine, putting together the right crew and then the timing. My only experiended was to the keys. However, I have done much inland. A lovely place is Chesapeake Bay.
I am very impressed with your adventures. The closest I have come to sail making, which was on my list at one time, is the sole design, cutting of material and sewing the cabin cover with slots for plexi windows etc, etc. So good I was well paid to do 6 more for boat owners in my marina.

The Chesapeake and Puget Sound are two of the great cruising areas of America. You've hit the one, I've hit the other...
