the editor of the weekly paper came to me about a month ago with a 'special project'--the annual Hanover County Living Guide. this is a 3-volume directory of everything you need to know if you live in Hanover county. he wanted to jazz it up a bit, and include as many of my photos as possible. needless to say, even though this hasn't been a full-time project, it has kept me busy, not just mining my archives and re-editing old stuff, but also getting out and shooting new stuff.
i'm pretty excited about it, as this will go out to about 6,000 subscribers, and there will be about another 7,000 printed and distributed around the county. as far as i'm concerned, this will basically become my working/walking around portfolio. in all, i'll have 30-40 images in it.
here's one of the shots i'm sending in

Wow! A whole stack of tearsheets, only you won't have to tear out anything. Just give them the book!
Some nice ones there. Really gives you a feel for the place. But no Cityscape? Got no idea how big the place is.
Good luck. |

thanks, marius! but, well, to have a 'cityscape', you have to have a city... ;-) even though we're near one, the county itself is extremely rural. |

Very cool. I notice you're getting the kids imortalized on the cover. You might want to find out what copy they'll be using on the cover so that the photo's don't interfere or contrast too badly.
BTW, I'm living vicariously through you in this so keep up the good work. |

I just DLed fotofusion. Now I can't wait until I can afford to register it and get rid of the goofy watermarks. |
